Saturday night at approximately 5:09 pm, Atlanta Police responded to 3000 Continental Colony Pkwy SW for a report of multiple people shot.
Responding officers located several victims with gunshot wounds. Atlanta Police confirmed, “Two of the victims were pronounced deceased on the scene.”
Several victims were taken to the hospital by private vehicle, prior to police arriving on scene.
At a press conference Saturday night, Atlanta Police Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. said the two victims deceased were 14 years old and 16 years old. The other victims were a 15 year old female, an 11 year old male, and a 15 year old male.
Hampton said, “There was some type of dispute on social media that escalted to gunfire. One group of individuals came to the apartment with their guns, and the other group fired their weapons.”
Hampton called it a shootout and said it all started inside the apartment and carried over to the outside.
